Resveratrol in the Cis form does not seem to be absorbable and therefore of very little benefit.

Resveratrol Plus supplies a proprietary blend of trans Resveratrol containing concentrated levels of polyphenols and trans-resveratrol from Resvida™­, red wine extract, and the root of Giant knotweed (polygonum cuspidatum). Resveratrol is produced by several plants, apparently due to its antifungal properties. Resveratrol is a polyphenolic compound that exists in nature as trans- stereoisomers. Trans-resveratrol appears to be the primary active form. It is found in widely varying amounts in peanuts, grapes (primarily the skins), raspberries, mulberries, berries of Vaccinium species (including blueberries, bilberries, and cranberries), some pines (such as Scots pine and Eastern white pine), and in the roots and stalks of Giant knotweed and Japanese knotweed (called Hu zhang in China). Giant knotweed extract (polygonum cuspidatum) is considered to be one of the richest sources of trans-resveratrol.

The trans-resveratrol content of wine is highly dependent on grape type, climate, and practices used to make the wine. White wines have very low trans-resveratrol concentrations, about 1% to 5% the quantity found in red wines.
