Product Summary:
We are bombarded with a barrage of health and diet trends and fads every day.  We are also exposed to, and tempted by, a seemingly limitless supply of highly processed and refined foods.

We have more food choices than ever and more advice than what we know what to do with.
And, while we have continued to embrace food fads, followed the latest popular diets/advice, and/or consumed more and more processed and refined foods, fundamental health shifts have been occurring:

Heart disease has emerged as the number one killer and disabler in this country, claiming one life every 30 seconds, and accounting for nearly $400 billion in health care expenditures per year

Obesity rates have been rising dramatically despite all our food pyramids and educational campaigns, and

More and more children have developed or are at risk of developing adult-onset-type diabetes, dramatically impacting the future morbidity and mortality statistics of this next generation

Somewhere along the way, in our quest to attain food convenience and food “value”, and in our attempts to find a “quick fix” to our dietary approaches, we have compromised our health and the health of our children.

The answer to this quagmire is not more and more processed/adulterated foods with artificial enhancements, or more and more “quick fix” diet books, but rather a return to basic nutritional principles, where whole foods and nutrients are embraced, chemical processing and additives are shunned, and where food becomes life enhancing, not merely life sustaining or (worse) life destroying.

The Time is Right
We feel the time is right to introduce truly healthful whole foods to a broad audience. Fibre' is not intended for the niche market of “health food junkies” or athletes. Fibre' was created for the regular busy person and family. After all, they were created BY a busy person with a regular family.

We understand
  • The general consumer is searching for a nutritional home base, as a response to the multitude of mixed health and diet messages.
  • Parents are searching for an easy to maintain food philosophy that helps young people establish a life long appreciation of how food can make a difference in one’s health and quality of life.
  • There is a growing recognition that our digestive health needs to be supported through increased fiber and fruit intake. The average American diet is woefully inadequate in this regard.
  • At-risk and recovering heart disease patients (approximately 70 million individuals in this country alone) are searching for ways to make better nutritional adjustments—because modern medical, preventative, and interventional therapies have to be fully lifestyle and diet supported to be fully successful.
  • As consumers become more educated about their own health, demand for fiber will naturally occur.
  • The growing recognition of the importance of omega 3 fatty acids and natural oxidants for general health maintenance and perinatal and childhood development continues to grow in recognition.
We believe Fibré, in all of its applications is well positioned to meet your needs as well as the exploding marketplace of an engaged consumer base.

Features
  • What is the

  • story behind Fibré?

  •            As a

  • cardiologist who is especially passionate about preventing heart disease, I
  • counsel my patients daily on lifestyle and dietary choices.  As I tell my patients what they should be
  • eating (fiber, omega-3s, fruits and vegetables, wheat germ) they all are
  • initially energized and commit to making changes.  But when I see them in follow-up, many tell
  • me that they find it challenging to incorporate these components into their
  • diets.  Indeed, most people fail at
  • improving their nutritional intake.  Over
  • time, it has become clear to me that if I expected people to eat better, the
  • ability to make good choices had to be easier.

  • I have been making Fibré for over 15 years for myself and my

  • family.  Over time, the formulation has
  • been perfected to include as many heart healthy components as possible.  Fibré is a natural and easy way to
  • incorporate all the things we know we should be eating in a form that is easy
  • to not only combine with yogurt for breakfast, but also to add to many
  • different foods to make them better for you.

  • I decided to bring Fibré to market to provide to others what

  • I've been providing for myself and my family for years.  So that eating healthfully is easy.  If you make Fibré a part of your diet you
  • will be making a good choice.  And every
  • good choice you make adds up to a healthier you.

  • What can

  • Fibré do for me?

  •            Fibré is an

  • unsweetened, whole grain, high fiber raw food, which has a low glycemic index
  • and contains high levels of beneficial omega 3 fatty acids as well as
  • antioxidants.  All of these attributes
  • are important for maintaining heart health, improving digestive health, and
  • preventing the development of diabetes.
  • Because of its high fiber content, Fibré diminishes hunger and reduces
  • the need to snack between meals.  The
  • result is lower overall calorie intake and long term weight control.

  • So what can Fibré do for you?  It can help you to get healthy and stay

  • healthy.  Isn't that what all foods
  • should do?

  • What is fiber?

  •            Fiber is

  • probably best defined as carbohydrates that can't be digested - and therefore
  • cannot be absorbed.

  •

  • What is

  • the suggested serving for Fibré for children?

  •             The

  • serving recommendation would be consistent/the same for children over 2 years of age.  American
  • Academy of
  • Pediatrics suggests
  • aiming for at least 25 grams of fiber per day in young children, limiting
  • saturated fat and reducing sodium intake.
  • Fibré addresses all of these points.
